Managing Self ILP Goal Term 2 2018

1. Trey can safely prepare and make a toasted sandwich and then cut this up using a knife and fork to eat with.

Trey is an Improver with this goal. Trey is using a sequencing step by step TEACCH resource that he follows as a guide to support him preparing his toasty independently. Trey has demonstrated good hygiene, organisational skills and awareness of safety when using hot appliances and utensils. At times Trey looks for reassurance and adult direction, as he grows in confidence his independence skills should follow.

Trey has been practicing his knife and fork skills using play-dough and slime to change the texture and pressure required when cutting various foods. Trey can hold and grip his knife and fork well and apply pressure in a cutting motion to cut his food.


 



Next Steps:
Trey will identify emotions and practice techniques to regulate his response in situations where he experiences identified emotions.
